A big problem with lawyer adversitising for injury cases caused by medications is the that the ads can scare people out of taking their medications. As lawyers, we can't take this lightly. A drug like Fosamax is a life saving drug that is a real boon to patients in need. On the other hand, since 2001, more than 2,400 patients taking Fosamax and other bone-building medications like it have reported bone death in their jaws, mostly after a minor trauma such as getting a tooth extracted. Most were taking especially potent, intravenously delivered versions of these drugs, which are known as bisphosphonates.
If someone suffers this injury, we want themto know they may have a legal claim, but in the meantime, everyone should follow their doctors advice and stay on thier medications.
